There are a half dozen such requests. I'm following up on a few. It's actually a great time to do so, as I'm learning about the system.

I'm not sure how Facebook is doing text messages, but other apps sending texts to 6505551234@txt.att.net all come from a number that increments from 0000 to (I think) 0500. So perhaps it's AT&T's fault.

(The workaround I've settled on is to make a contact in Address Book that has all those numbers - they won't be grouped into conversations, but at least it says what it is.)
